Janet Lynn Vaughan was born and raised in Corpus Christi. After graduating from Richard King High School, she received degrees from Baylor University (B.S.), Baylor College of Dentistry (D.D.S.), and University of Oklahoma Health Science Center (M.S. in Orthodontics). After completion of her specialty training in 1992, she joined her father in practice.
Dr. Janet is board certified in orthodontics (Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics) and she is a Fellow in the International College of Dentistry.
Her memberships include Nueces Valley District Dental Society and Southwest Society of Orthodontists (former Editor), as well as numerous state and national dental organizations. She was the recipient of the prestigious American Association of Orthodontists’ Outstanding Research Award.
Dr. Janet Vaughan is a U.S. National Dance Sport Champion, currently holding national titles in 16 divisions of ballroom dancing including numerous gold medals. She was previously the #1 Pro/Am dancer in the United States.
She is the proud mother of two children: Kurt, who has a law firm in Houston, and Kim, who is an orthodontist in Waco.
From 2007 to 2009, Dr. Vaughan partnered with World Champion Tony Dovolani of “Dancing with the Stars” reality show and competed extensively in the U.S., winning her National Championship title in American Rhythm.
