Our Founder of Vaughan & Vaughan orthodontics
Orthodontics has lost one of the “tallest trees in its forest.” O.B. Vaughan was a giant sequoia. This seemingly indefatigable man who blessed all around him with a warm, infectious smile and a kind word was dearly loved and respected by all.
O.B. earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from St Louis University in 1945. He subsequently earned a Master of Science in periodontology from Northwestern University and a Master of Science in orthodontics from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. With his education completed, he and his family moved to Corpus Christi where he opened his orthodontic practice. He was a solo practitioner for 35 years until his daughter Janet, a University of Oklahoma orthodontic graduate, joined him in 1992.
Dr. Vaughan will best be remembered by the many patients he treated and the trust they showed in him as they continue to look to Vaughan & Vaughan Orthodontics to treat their children and grandchildren.
